Automatic Angle Processing System
The Sunrise ALS is a fully automated CNC angle line built for structural steel fabricators who process angle and flat bar in volume.
Angle clips, brackets, bracing, tower and track components, rail parts, and truck chassis parts. It automatically punches both legs of angle, shears to length with no slug loss, and marks parts at an integrated dot-peen station, all driven from DXF/NC1 and Tekla files so programs move from the office to the shop floor with less manual layout.
SUNRISE ALS OVERVIEW
The Sunrise ALS is a fully automated CNC angle line that punches both legs, marks, and shears to length in one pass — straight from DXF/NC1/Tekla files. Process up to 6″×6″×½″ angle, 50′ long, with a 170-ton no-slug-loss shear and multi-punches.
ALS:Operation
Load
Stock-length angle is loaded onto the all-steel in-feed roller system — or use the optional 8-stick auto-loader, and walk-away.
Feed
The rack-and-pinion drive take over with finite precision, the gripper securely clamps the end, and the high-speed servo advances the angle into the machine to confirm length and start production.
Punch, Mark & Shear
Using two punches per leg, each with 1.5″ capacity punch, the 60-ton punching cylinders move in, both legs are punched with variable gauge lines, parts are marked, and the angle is sheared to length, with no slug, in one pass.
Finished Part
Repeatable angle parts — clips, brackets, bracing — come off ready for assembly. Mixing and matching files, nesting multiple variations, and sorting your parts.
A 27″ touchscreen with Sunrise Software, fully guarded punching and shearing stations, and TeamViewer remote diagnostics make the ALS easy to run and easy to support — with minimal operator training required.

Standard Features
- Automatic clamping & squaring
The system clamps and squares every stick before it’s punched or sheared, so hole patterns stay true down the length of the bar without an operator babysitting the material. Hydraulic hold-downs for the punch and shear firmly clamp the material during operation.
- Fully guarded work zone
Punching and shearing run inside a fully enclosed and safety interlocked frame, keeping operators clear of the tooling while the line is in production. Multiple emergency-stops surround the entire machine and in-feed. Wide doors allow quick and easy access to change tooling, or service the machine.
- Integrated hydraulic oil cooling
An onboard cooler holds oil temperature steady through long runs, and multiple fans keep the cabin cool, so punch performance stays consistent from the first part of the shift to the last.
- Office-to-floor file flow
Detailing output drops straight into the machine — Use the included off-line software to fully-build your nest, or import DXF/NC1 or Tekla files by Wifi, USB, or ethernet, and nest them right at the control, with no manual re-entry of hole patterns or lengths.
- Remote diagnostics & lifetime support
TeamViewer lets a Trilogy technician see the control screen and work through an issue with your operator in real time — often resolving it without a service visit. Schematics, operation and parts manuals, and more are securely stored for quick access now or in the future.

- Angle auto-loader
Holds up to 8 sticks and expands to 50′, feeding the line automatically so one operator can stage a run and step away instead of loading bar by bar.
Watch the auto-loader - Flat-bar tooling
Adds flat bar processing from 2″×¼″ up to 6″×½″ to the same machine, so one line covers both angle and bar work instead of tying up a second piece of equipment.
- Dot-peen marking
Marks permanent part numbers and layout marks in-line, so pieces arrive at assembly already identified and no one is hand-marking parts downstream.

Additional machined-steel in-feed sections enable the line to process 50′ sticks, letting you run full stock lengths without cutting material down first. The rack and pinion drive system firmly clamps the material and holds accuracy during the entire run, never letting go until the part is finished.
- Multi-seat software license
Adds offline layout seats so detailers can build and nest programs at their own desks instead of queuing at the machine control.
