sunrise AlS Series

Automatic Angle Processing System

The Sunrise ALS is a fully automated CNC angle line built for structural steel fabricators who process angle and flat bar in volume — angle clips, brackets, bracing, tower and track components, rail parts, and truck chassis parts. It automatically punches both legs of angle, shears to length with no slug loss, and marks parts at an integrated dot-peen station, all driven from DXF/NC1 and Tekla files so programs move from the office to the shop floor with less manual layout.

Trilogy Machinery is the exclusive United States importer and distributor for Sunrise — supported by a nationwide network of dealers — backing every ALS with U.S.-based sales, stocked OEM parts, factory-authorized service, and lifetime phone & email support from Belcamp, Maryland.

Operation: The operator loads the angle onto the all-steel in-feed rollers; the system engages and pneumatically clamps the material, measures the length, and then processes it by automatically punching both legs of the angle and shearing (without a slug) to length, utilizing the industrial-strength rack-and-pinion drive system. When the bar is complete, the system will automatically retract, drop the 6″ scrap, and move to the load position to repeat the process.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is the U.S. distributor for Sunrise angle lines?

Trilogy Machinery is the exclusive United States importer and distributor for Sunrise Ironworkers and Sunrise processing systems, supported by a nationwide dealer network. Trilogy provides U.S.-based sales, stocked OEM parts, factory-authorized service, and lifetime phone/email technical support from Belcamp, Maryland.

Where can I buy a Sunrise ALS in the United States?

Sunrise angle lines are imported and distributed exclusively in the U.S. by Trilogy Machinery in Belcamp, Maryland, and are sold and supported through Trilogy’s nationwide network of dealers.

What is a CNC angle line?

A CNC angle line is an automated machine that punches, marks, and shears structural angle (and often flat bar) to length directly from a part file, replacing manual layout, ironworker punching, and saw cutting.

Can the Sunrise ALS process flat bar?

Yes. With optional flat-bar tooling the ALS shears flat bar from 2″×¼″ up to 6″×½″ with no slug loss, alongside its angle capacity.

Does the ALS punch both legs of angle?

Yes. Two independent punches per leg run on tandem 66-ton cylinders, punching up to 1.5″ — including uneven-leg angle, with the gauge line based on the taller leg.

Can it import DXF or NC1 files?

Yes. The controller imports DXF/NC1 and works with Tekla output, plus nesting and multi-pattern templates.

How much scrap does the no-slug-loss shear leave?

The shear cuts to length without punching out a slug and drops a short (~6″) end scrap, keeping material waste low across a run.

What support and warranty come with the ALS?

Each ALS carries an on-site parts & labor warranty of 2 years or 2,500 working hours, plus lifetime technical support by phone and email. After the on-site warranty, phone, email, and text help continue at no charge; only on-site technician visits are billed as a service call. OEM parts and factory-trained technicians are based in Belcamp, Maryland.

How does the ALS compare to manual layout and ironworker processing?

It consolidates measuring, marking, punching, and cutting into one automated pass, reducing labor and handling per part and improving length and hole-pattern consistency on repeat work.

Is an auto-loader available?

Yes. An angle auto-loader holds up to 8 sticks of angle and is expandable to 40′ (as on the ALS 1506D with Auto Loader), for higher-volume, less hands-on production.

The automation speeds things up tremendously.

We are able to take files from Tekla right into the machinery. They have an integrated solution for that. Trilogy Machinery showed up when they said, they set up the machine like they said, and they provided training to all the team members.
