The Sunrise Channel Line System – ACPS – is a versatile and fully automated channel line solution that efficiently processes channel webs from C3 to C6 without the need to change blades. It offers punching and shearing capabilities, enhancing accuracy and productivity in metal fabrication applications.
SUNRISE ACPS OVERVIEW
The Sunrise ACPS is a fully automated CNC channel line that punches the web and shears to length in one pass — straight from DXF/NC1 files. Process C3 to C6 channel, 50′ long, with a 90-ton shear and dual independent punches — and change sizes without changing blades.
ACPS:Operation
Load
The operator loads channel onto the all-steel in-feed rollers — 20′ standard, expandable to 50′.
Feed
The system pneumatically clamps and squares the channel, then measures length on the rack-and-pinion drive.
Punch & Shear
Two independent punches work the web, and the rapid shear cuts to length — C3 to C6 on the same blades.
Finished Part
The system retracts, drops as little as 6″ of scrap, and returns to load position for the next part.
A touchscreen Windows control, fully guarded punching and shearing, and TeamViewer remote diagnostics make the ACPS easy to run and easy to support — with minimal operator training required.

Standard Features
- Blade-free size changes
A quick-adjustment tool moves the shear from C3 to C6 without changing blades, so mixed-size runs don’t stop the line for a tooling swap. Multi-sided blades and an adjustable blade gap extend edge life.
- Automatic clamping & squaring
Pneumatic clamps square every piece before it’s punched or sheared, so hole patterns stay true down the length of the channel. Hydraulic hold-downs for the punch and shear firmly clamp the material during operation.
- Fully guarded work zone
Punching and shearing run inside a fully enclosed frame with interlocked doors, keeping operators clear of the tooling while the line is in production. A multi-point camera system adds visibility into the work area.
- Integrated hydraulic oil cooling
An onboard oil cooler and filter hold temperature steady through long runs, so punch performance stays consistent from the first part of the shift to the last.
- Office-to-floor file flow
Detailing output drops straight into the machine — import DXF/NC1 by WiFi or USB and nest at the control, with multi-program memory and pattern templates, and no manual re-entry.
- Remote diagnostics & lifetime support
TeamViewer lets a Trilogy technician see the control screen and work through an issue with your operator in real time — often resolving it without a service visit.

- Light curtain safety system
An optical safety barrier around the work zone stops the machine if anything breaks the plane, for shops that want guarding beyond the standard interlocked enclosure.
- Extended in-feed sections
Additional machined-steel in-feed sections carry the line out to 50′, letting you run full stock lengths without cutting material down first.
- Multi-seat software license
Adds offline layout seats so detailers can build and nest programs at their own desks instead of queuing at the machine control.
